Brent Brimhall was born and raised in Northern Utah. He currently resides there with his wife and two children. Having traveled and worked on every continent of the world but Antarctica (it’s too cold and paint won’t dry there), his inspiration for fine arts and design comes from the world around him. Brent enjoys plein air painting which requires remarkable ability since the elements are continually changing and painting them necessitates both resiliency and familiarity with the environment. Both his fine arts and design are greatly influenced by his training in color and his ability to see, scrutinize, strengthen, and enhance spaces in which he encounters.
His interest in art began in Miss Bybee’s first grade class at West Point Elementary. Beginning in fourth grade, he started taking painting classes from Lucile Stock in Layton. By age twelve, he had the opportunity of Plein Air painting with Le Conte Stewart. Through high school and college, he studied under artists such as Max Standard, Harrison Groutage, Ed Marion and several others. He now enjoys working throughout the world on various art and design projects.
